Quote of the Week [QOTW]: 2011 Week 1

"Nobody can go back and start a new beginning, but anyone can start today and make a new ending”  Maria Robinson

So often people regret the the past and things which have gone by or fret about the future concerning themselves about what might or might not be.  And yet strangely whilst this may seem a good use of energy it is invariably futile as the past exists no longer and the future is yet to exist.  Futile because whilst these two states occupy the mind they only steal from the one true place to exist:  the present, the right-now, this very moment.

It's crucial to learn and grow from the past and vital to use the future as a beacon of hope, direction and ambition but it's equally important not to let the present fall through your fingers like the sands of time.  Abandon your thoughts of phantasy, savour each moment of 'now' and use it to shape who you are and who you will be tomorrow.
